A family accused of witchcraft at Dachio, a suburb of Bolgatanga, in the Upper East region is on the run after a mob attempted to attack them Monday.
The mob, seeking the blood of the alleged witches is reportedly led by the chief of the area.
The victims escaped the attack by a whisker as the Police arrived just in time to save them.
They are therefore calling on government to intervene to save them since they no longer feel safe in their community.
The chief of the area, according to reports, could have ordered for their execution.
Meanwhile, two other people accused of witchcraft are reportedly in the custody of the unnamed chief of Dachio.
