Mixed Voter Turn Out In District Assembly Elections

Voting to elect new assembly members has ended and counting started at various polling centers across the country.

The exercise which commenced at 7am had to be delayed in some areas due to some administrative constraints.

A total of 18,885 candidates are contesting in the District Assembly Elections and 43,585; the Unit Committee elections.
