No
wonder the bride wore a whopping SEVEN outfits for the traditional
engagement on the 8th of August 2015, and for the Nikkai the next day.
All her outfits were designed by her mother, of course. The colors of
the day for Saturday were fuchsia pink and guests were dressed in all
white. The bride was accompanied by 18 of her friends and family as she
danced. Esteemed guests included Adama Indimi and Amissah Arthur, wife of the Vice President.
The
pair have been dating for the past two years and Raymond decided to
propose to her in the midst of all friends and family by throwing a
party during the Christmas holidays. He has also decided to convert from
Christianity to Islam because of the marriage. According to Starr FM online. He stated,
“I was born a Christian, baptized a Christian but all my friends are Muslims. I am making the decision and my parents and in-laws have been very supportive. My father has been very helpful and the understanding is there.”
They were joined in matrimony by 92-year-old Ghana’s National Chief Imam, Sheikh Dr. Osman Nuhu Sharubutu. The groom was given the Muslim name Abdul Aziz to mark his conversion. The MC was Live FM’s Kofi Okyere Darko (KOD).
