Nii Adama Latse still Ga Mantse – Ga Paramount Stool

  • Nii Adama Latse greets his Kinsmen in the traditional stool houses and thank them for a successful Homowo celebration
The Ga Paramount stool has rejected claims that a new chief has been installed for the Ga Traditional Area.

Media reports on Monday said that  a new chief has been installed for the Ga Traditional Area.
King Dr Nii Tackie Teiko Tsuru II

The reports said that a new chief, King Dr Nii Tackie Teiko Tsuru II has been installed by the Dzasetse of the Ga State, Nii Dr Tetteh Kwei II, and the accredited heads and elders of the Ga Paramount Stool, known as Dzaase.
The report added that the new chief was nominated after the kingmakers consulted the nominal head of the Ga Paramount Royal Ruling House, Teiko Tsuru We.

But a statement signed by the Ga Paramount Stool Secretary, Nii Nabi Anyah Tackie-Yarboi, said the publication “must be treated with the contempt it deserves.”

“The Ga Paramount Stool Djaase would have treated the said publication with the contempt it deserves, however for the avoidance of doubt the Djaase categorically denies the said publication.”

“The Ga Djaase wishes to affirm that there is a Ga Mantse in the person of Boni Nii Tackie Adaman Latse II who was installed on the 11th June, 2011, and has been performing his traditional duties to date without any hindrance whatsoever from any quarter,” it added.

The statement further added that the current Ga Mantse, Boni Nii Tackie Adama Latse II has been gazzated by the National House of Chiefs in the National Register of chiefs on the 24th April 2015 as a paramount chief and Ga Mantse in succession to the Late Ga Mantse Boni Nii Amugi II.

“The Ga Paramount Stool Djaase, therefore wishes to assure the general public that there is no cause of alarm and that this year’s Ga Homowo festival will be peacefully celebrated.”
