Miss Ghana 2015 has been launched in Accra. The Minister of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Elizabeth Ofosu-Agyare launched the event at the Holiday Inn Hotel in Accra on Tuesday morning.
According to the organisers of the beauty pageant, Exclusive Events Company Limited, this year, the winner, first and second runner ups would each take away a vehicle as their prize.
The organisers have explained they have risen above the controversy that rocked last year’s event as the crowned queen, Guiseppina Baafi, relinquished the crown following an alleged spat with the organisers over what was still not very clear to the public.
The second runner-up, Nadia Ntanu, was later given the crown to continue with the Miss Ghana 2014 projects. She also represented Ghana at the Miss World 2014 event in London.
