Mario Balotelli banned from smoking, drinking and extravagant haircuts by new club AC Milan

Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli has submitted to a strict code of conduct to push through a return to AC Milan.

The mercurial Italian is returning to the Rossoneri on a season-long loan, having failed to make an impact at Anfield during his single season.

The former Manchester City star managed just one Premier League goal in 16 appearances for the Reds last season, and just four goals in all competitions.

Balotelli passed a medical with the Serie A outfit on Tuesday in a move that will see him link up with new Milan boss Sinisa Mihajlovic, who previously worked with Balotelli at Inter.

But the maverick forward, 25, has reportedly been issued by Milan chiefs with a code of conduct, designed to keep him on the straight and narrow.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the club’s hierarchy, including CEO Adriano Galliani, in conjunction with Mihajlovic, have issued Balotelli with a list of do’s and don’ts, which he must adhere to as they try to limit Balotelli’s potential for disruption.

It includes:

Ensuring Balotelli will not damage the image of the club and his Twitter, Facebook and Instagram posts will be closely monitored.

    Toning down his ‘extravagant hairstyles’

Wearing clothes ‘in keeping with the style of a club like Milan’

    Cutting out his smoking habit

Always showing up on time and banned from visiting nightclubs
