Some NPP members lack "common sense"- Kennedy Agyapong

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for Assin North in the Central region, Kennedy Agyapong has stated that some members of his party lack "common sense".

His comment follows the ‘secret’ meeting at former President John Agyekum Kufour’s residence which later became viral on social media.

Speaking on an Accra based radio station, the livid Assin Central MP said some party members who supposedly leaked the audio of the meeting lack "common sense".

He explained that a party wanting to come to power will not give political missiles to opponents who are moving heaven and earth to retain power.

The Assin Central MP was convinced the audio went viral because the culprits used social media to perpetrate their 'crime'.

“It could be that the meeting was somehow revealed through one of these media account when someone posted it there. In fact, issues like these are the main reason why I don’t do these social media issues” he said.

Kennedy Agyapong added that if the party wants to move from being an opposition party to a governing party, “then they will have to show some form of common sense otherwise the NPP party will remain in opposition for a very long time” he added.

“If the NPP officials don’t sit up and use common sense in their endeavors then I don’t know what they will be heading towards” he lamented.
