Married woman, lover fined for sex at cemetery

 A 24 year-old married woman together with her lover have been fined for having sex in a cemetery at Akokyere, a farming community in the Sekyere district of the Ashanti region.

The woman, Adwoa Serwaa who has four children with her husband according to reports, was caught red handed in the act with lover, Cudjoe Ntono, a 28 year-old mason.


Agyenim Boateng narrating the incident to Adom News said, in the wee hours of Sunday, a driver in the area called Oduro who had gone to his cocoa farm near the cemetery caught them lying on one of the tombs having sex.

He explained while working on his farm, he saw both Cudjoe and Adwoa going towards the same location so he decided to follow them only to find them in a compromised position.

“Oduro was so shocked to find the married woman with the mason having sex so he rushed to Adwoa’s family house to report the abominable act” Agyenim Boateng added.

Oduro, the reporter said returned with the Adwoa Serwaa's uncle and brother and saw them both still engaging in the act before they raised an alarm.

They have been asked to pay GHȼ400, a white sheep and a schnapp by the Akokyere Traditional Council to pacify the gods of the lands.

But though Cudjoe has accepted to pay the fine, Adwoa Serwaa is pleading innocence and has threatened to seek redress in the palace of the Sekyere Chief, Nana Enin.
